If it’s the latter, you still have alternative options.
If it’s the former, you can fix the missing stereo mix or wave out option by fixing your drivers. If you don’t have the Stereo Mix or Wave Out option in your Sounds window, it might be because of a driver problem or perhaps your sound card doesn’t support it. For example, if you need to record the audio of a Skype call, you can do so but this requires your sound card to support the option in the first place. Your laptop or desktop has the ability to record the audio coming from its own speakers.
